Deepening the concepts, developing the skills

in their school/youth centre

The training
This day's training will extend the knowledge and skills base of conflict resolution education and restorative practices.
The day will be full of activities, circle games and take aways" to use with children and young people.

An introduction to Conflict Resolution Education
a Training Day by CRESST

Conflict Resolution Education aims to:
· reduce unnecessary and damaging conflict
· teach the skills needed to manage our own conflict
· teach the skills needed to support others in conflict
Conflict Resolution Education helps to create tolerance and respect.
It is not about conflict avoidance but is about giving people the tools and the confidence to deal with issues effectively, reducing stress and building positive relationships.
This day’s workshop will develop an awareness of the nature of conflict and how people respond to it and explore the key skills of communication, empathy, cooperation, problem solving, mediation and other restorative practices.
The vital question of how these concepts and skills might be acquired by the younger generation is also addressed.
